I stopped into Longmont Bicycle Company & Cafe the other day and had a great time with Chris, the owner, as we looked for a new bike for my daughter. I was really impressed by this new shop; it just opened last year on Main Street, alongside great locally owned and operated businesses which help keep Longmont the great community we all know it to be, has a wonderful selection without being overwhelming, excellent quality gear, and a friendly environment! Longmont Bicycle is really a superb place to get all your biking needs. The best thing about this shop is that they serve coffee as well. What a way to help customers feel at home while looking over their next meaningful purchase.

Buying a bike isn’t like buying a car or getting new shoes. A bike can offer so much mobility while still allowing you to feel connected to the space through which you ride. I host a great ride through Longmont every Monday evening though the summer, called the East Side Bike Night. It’s an easy 8 mile ride through the Historic East Side Neighborhood and beyond, taking in the sites, architecture, history, and ultimately showing our presence in the community, all while getting a little exercise and fresh air! Great for kids and cyclists of all experience and stamina. I really hope you can join us one night to see Longmont without the windshield.

So if you’re in need of a new bike, or a bike at all, head on down to Longmont Bicycle Company & Cafe right on Main Street, Downtown Longmont, and have Chris and his crew help find the perfect bike for you. Mainly doing street riding: go for a Cruiser. I know they have plenty to choose. They’ll also help find the perfect ride for you if you’re planning on taking the bike offroad!
